Hi and welcome to my hemp jewelry blog!!

What is this site is about

I wanted to create a space to share my thoughts and ideas about hemp jewelry and about how to make hemp jewelry. I learned to do it by books and online instructions. Once you learn the basics of the knots that can be used, it is up to your imagination on how a piece of jewelry will turn out. It is fun and is for all ages to learn to do.

I hope that with time my readers will join in and share their input as well. Blogs are a fun, interactive way to communicate thoughts and ideas with one another!

A personal look into my life

I took care of my dad for 10 years, and recently put him in a nursing home. I was in the “sandwich” generation, where I was raising my daughter and taking care of my father, not an easy feat!! I decided to learn a craft at which i like and decided to sell my works online. I started to learn macrame in 2005.

I am the owner/artist, web-mistress, designer, bookkeeper, sales rep, marketer and almost everything else associated with my site Kristy’s Knots. For the leftover stuff I have my ever trusting web host Sea Crest Hosting!!
In my spare time, I dabble in doing cross stitch, crocheting and digital painting. I also enjoy messing around with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
