What kind of hemp jewelry patterns are you looking for?

I have been trying to figure out what kind of jewelry patterns to post on here for my readers.  To be able to do this effectively, I am going to need input from ya’ll.  I would hate to put up a bunch of patterns and then no one like them and not be interested in trying to do them :)

So I have decided to ask for your help! I do have a couple of ideas for patterns, but my ideas only go so far and I want to get you involved as well.

Lets be honest, it is you that is going to be making these patterns, so wouldn’t it make sense to get your tastes, and likes? I think so.

With that said, if you would like to leave a comment on what kinds of patterns you would like to try out please do!! Even if you don’t know the name of the knots, or just have a vague idea of what you want to make, describe it the best that you can.

If you don’t want to leave a comment, you can also contact me.

Happy Knotting

I would like to see patterns that I could incorporate my polymer clay beads. Bracelets, necklaces, lanyards, and even belts would be fun! I’m also thinking a cuff would be cool!

i was wondering how you made that hemp choker

  4. Kristy Says:

    Lauren,

Which hemp choker are you referring to?

  5. lauren S. Says:

sorry, the “thick hemp choker” i was wondering what knots it took, and how to use them……….

  6. Kristy Says:

    Lauren,

    Ok, that helps :)

It is made with square knots. “alternating square knots” actually.

My plan included putting up how to do alternating square knots and I will also get up the pattern on how I did that choker too.

    Thanks for your input!!

Could you make a guide showing how to use like.. The alternating square knots, I was wondering the same thing. Like this keychain here is one prime example:

And then also the ones with multiple anchors weaving into each other, if that makes sense. Like these:

I can see it’s square knots and beads, but I don’t quite understand what they did to make them uhh.. intersect? on the middle parts. If that made any sense.

    Thanks!

    Andi,

Yes, I am planning on getting up instructions on the alternating square knots. You can do soo much with those.

Yup, I can also show you how they made those “intersect”

    Thanks for your input!!

I would like to know and see if there are more knots to learn and how to really put the different knots and beads together into something that looks totally different then your normal hemp choker or bracelet.

  12. Kristy Says:

    Christina,

Yes, that is one thing I have trying to figure out. I have had several patterns that I was going to post, but they all are put together the same way, and frankly kind of boring.
But I am still working on it, and will try to get something that is totally unique and not the same ol’ normal hemp jewelry.

I like these over at Amazon, each one has a different main color theme to it:

Sorry, here is the link to it.

    Cartier,

Yes, those are neat necklaces. Great color combos on them as well. Looks like they are done with half knots.

Thanks for your input and for stopping by

Do you know how to do a hemp bracelet that is an alternating cuff…i don’t quite understand what knots are involved? If you could help that would be great. Thanks so much ;]

  17. Kristy Says:

    Emily,

I am not quite sure what you are asking. But if you mean the alternating square knot design, I do have that on my site. That is the only ‘alternating’ that I have heard of. Hope that helps ?

Please show me how to do a pretzel knot. I have tied hemp for 8 years and cannot get how to for some reason, I think if it was showed pic by pic I could do it. Thank you!!!
